Recent National Weather Service and model guidance indicate a high near 72–74°F for Seattle on September 8 under northerly flow, clear skies, and high pressure, with peak afternoon readings limited by marine moderation and light winds. This aligns with the narrow market split between the 72–73°F and 74–75°F bins, as small differences in cloud cover, boundary-layer mixing, or exact wind direction can shift the daily maximum across those thresholds. Historical climatology shows an average high of 72.4°F for the date, while recent days have run near or slightly above normal without major synoptic changes. Updated model runs and official observations tomorrow morning will refine the final reading before resolution.
