Recent forecasts from Singapore's Meteorological Service and NEA indicate a high near 33–34°C for September 24 amid prevailing southwest monsoon conditions and localized afternoon thundery showers, which typically limit peak heating through evaporative cooling and cloud cover. Above-normal temperatures have dominated the first half of the month, with multiple days exceeding 34°C, yet increased shower activity in the second fortnight is expected to moderate extremes. Model consensus and historical analogs for late-September conditions under current ENSO and Indian Ocean Dipole influences support a narrow range centered on 31–33°C, with lower probabilities for outliers due to the narrow window for intensification before convective activity develops.
