Trader consensus prices under 2.4 million TSA checkpoint passengers on April 6—a post-Easter Monday—at 50%, reflecting a close call amid record spring break demand clashing with government shutdown fallout. Recent daily volumes hovered at 2.71 million on April 2, 2.36 million on April 1, and 2.53 million the prior Sunday, down 12% year-over-year due to staffing shortages, hours-long lines, and flight disruptions that prompted cancellations despite airlines forecasting 2.8 million daily averages through April. Easter Sunday travel on April 5 may shift returns to Monday, but persistent TSA woes at major hubs like Atlanta and Philadelphia cap upside potential, balancing the market evenly.
