Recent polling averages place President Trump’s job approval near 36-39 percent with disapproval at 58-66 percent, marking new second-term lows driven by public reaction to renewed tensions with Iran, elevated gas prices, and persistent cost-of-living concerns. Multiple surveys released in the final week of July, including those from CNN/SSRS, AP-NORC, Quinnipiac, and Nate Silver’s tracker, documented further erosion or sustained weakness relative to earlier summer readings. Traders assign near-certain probability to a weekly decline because the latest data show no reversal in these trends. Still, an abrupt diplomatic breakthrough, unexpectedly favorable economic indicators, or a sharp shift in media coverage could stabilize or lift ratings before the week closes.
