This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed country officially recognizes Israel as a state between market creation and December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. An announcement of intentions will not suffice to resolve this market to "Yes." Only a government's formal recognition of the State of Israel will count toward a “Yes” resolution for this market. The primary resolution source for this market will be official government information. However, a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.Diplomatic normalization between Israel and additional states continues to hinge on regional security dynamics, the Palestinian issue, and U.S. mediation through frameworks like the Abraham Accords. Saudi Arabia has reiterated that formal recognition requires credible progress toward Palestinian statehood along 1967 lines, a stance unchanged despite July 2026 U.S. statements conditioning a civilian nuclear agreement on Riyadh's accession. Other non-recognizing states, including several Arab League and OIC members plus Cuba, North Korea, and Venezuela, show limited movement amid ongoing conflicts and domestic constraints. Kazakhstan's 2025 entry marked the most recent expansion, while Israel's December 2025 recognition of Somaliland highlighted alternative bilateral steps outside UN membership. Trader focus centers on whether U.S. leverage or de-escalation in active conflicts could unlock further bilateral agreements before year-end.
