Top-seeded Raphaël Collignon, the defending Monza Challenger champion and world No. 68, faces fourth seed Martin Landaluce (No. 105) in the clay-court semifinals after both posted straight-set quarterfinal wins yesterday—Collignon over Luca van Assche and Landaluce defeating Hugo Gaston. Collignon's dominant tournament run includes earlier victories over Christopher O'Connell and Remy Bertola, bolstering trader consensus on his surface familiarity and higher ranking despite Landaluce's unblemished 2-0 head-to-head edge, highlighted by his Orleans Challenger final triumph last September on indoor hard. The 20-year-old Spaniard's recent Challenger momentum and clay affinity add upset potential in this best-of-three encounter, with no reported injuries or withdrawals.
