In the ATP Challenger Mexico City semifinals on clay at high altitude, top seed James Duckworth (ATP 86) holds a slim 50% implied probability edge over qualifier Tibo Colson (ATP 500), reflecting trader consensus on a tightly balanced matchup despite the ranking gap. Duckworth advanced steadily with straight-set wins over Michael Mmoh, Stefan Kozlov, and a comeback three-setter against Beibit Zhukayev in the quarters yesterday, building on his recent San Luis Potosi final run. Colson, on a hot streak with upsets over Miguel Tobon, fourth seed Nicolas Mejia, and wildcard Alex Hernandez in a marathon quarterfinal (7-6, 2-7, 7-6), has fueled even odds through qualifier momentum and resilience in three-setters. No prior head-to-head exists; developments like Colson's potential fatigue from extended matches or Duckworth adapting to faster high-altitude clay could tip the scales, underscoring upset potential in this first-time clash.
