Augusto Cury leads the market for third place in Brazil’s October 4 first-round presidential vote because multiple recent polls, including Quaest and AtlasIntel surveys from early September, place the Avante candidate in that position with 6–10% support after a sharp late-August rise tied to television appearances and social-media growth among voters seeking alternatives to polarization. Renan Santos of the Mission party follows in trader pricing, consistent with his steadier but lower polling range of 3–7% and limited institutional base. Ronaldo Caiado and other registered candidates trail further behind, reflecting their single-digit or lower shares in the same surveys and weaker momentum in the final weeks before voting. The first-round outcome will be determined by certified results once all ballots are counted.

This market will resolve to the candidate that occupies the third-highest finishing position after applying this ranking.
If the result of this election isn't known definitively by June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to "Other".
This market will resolve based on the result of the election, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the Brazilian government, specifically the Superior Electoral Court (Tribunal Superior Eleitoral, TSE) (e.g., https://dadosabertos.tse.jus.br/).
