Recent National Weather Service and model guidance point to a typical late-September marine layer regime over Los Angeles, with morning low clouds and onshore southwest flow limiting afternoon warming and favoring a high near 76–77 °F at Los Angeles International Airport on September 19. This aligns with the 1991–2020 climatological average of 76.1 °F and the absence of strong offshore winds or anomalous ridging that would support hotter readings. Ensemble forecasts show modest spread, with some solutions reaching the upper 70s if the marine layer erodes earlier, while others hold closer to the mid-70s under persistent stratus. Trader positioning therefore clusters on the 76–77 °F bin, reflecting the high probability of near-normal conditions two days out and the limited window for significant forecast shifts before resolution.
