Seventh-seeded Luka Pavlovic (ATP No. 200) meets unseeded Stefano Napolitano (No. 302) in the Mexico City Challenger clay-court semifinal, their third head-to-head split 1-1 after Napolitano's 6-4, 6-3 quarterfinal win in Kigali last month. Pavlovic grinded through three-setters against Facundo Mena, Aidan Mayo, and Rodrigo Pacheco Mendez in the last 48 hours, dropping a set each despite a 6-3 clay record this year. Napolitano, riding an 11-3 clay hot streak capped by a comeback over second seed Tristan Schoolkate yesterday, converted breaks more efficiently. High-altitude bounces in Mexico City favor endurance in prolonged rallies, with both showing resilience but vulnerability to tiebreaks.
