Recent National Weather Service forecasts and model consensus point to a mid-90s high in Houston on September 1, with daytime peaks near 93–94°F under partly sunny skies before afternoon convection develops. Persistent southerly flow, dew points in the mid-70s, and heat indices above 100°F support strong surface heating, yet a 40–50% chance of showers and thunderstorms after midday introduces uncertainty over whether peak temperatures reach the upper end of that range or are moderated by cloud cover and rain-cooled air. This aligns with trader pricing that clusters around 88–95°F bins while assigning low probability to extremes. Historical September 1 averages near 92°F provide context, and the next NWS update plus short-range model runs will likely refine resolution odds ahead of the daily maximum observation.
