**Current forecasts from multiple meteorological sources, including NWS-aligned models, converge on a high temperature of 80–81°F for Atlanta on September 26, 2026, aligning with the market’s leading 46.5% implied probability for that bin.** Late-September climatology supports this range, with a 1991–2020 average high of 80.4°F at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Recent days have featured gradual cooling from mid-September peaks near 90–97°F, driven by a shift to lighter northeast-to-northwest winds, partly to mostly sunny skies, and minimal cloud cover or precipitation (chances under 5% in most outlooks). These conditions favor typical diurnal heating without significant advection of warmer or cooler air masses. Model consensus remains tight two days out, though minor upward revisions into the low-to-mid 80s remain possible if daytime mixing strengthens or if steering patterns shift slightly. Lower-probability outcomes above 85°F or below 78°F reflect residual uncertainty in boundary-layer details and the historical spread on this date (records range from the upper 50s to mid-90s). Traders appear to be weighting the stable, near-normal forecast heavily while discounting more extreme tails.
