Recent National Weather Service and ensemble forecasts for coastal Los Angeles on September 6 point to a high near 79°F under mostly cloudy skies and a 30-40% chance of showers or thunderstorms linked to tropical moisture from Hurricane Marie. This moisture influx, combined with a strengthening marine layer, favors modest daytime heating while suppressing peak temperatures below the seasonal average of 76.5°F at LAX. Model consensus clusters around 78-79°F, with minor spread from variable cloud cover and onshore flow; higher outcomes above 80°F would require clearer conditions or stronger offshore influence not currently indicated. Traders have aligned with this near-term guidance, weighting the 78-79°F bin most heavily.
