Recent National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance highlights building high pressure and light northerly flow clearing skies over the Pacific Northwest, positioning Seattle for a Wednesday high near 76–77°F on September 9. This setup favors modest daytime warming above the 72°F historical average without triggering stronger offshore flow or marine push that could push readings into the upper 70s or suppress them lower. Low precipitation chances and partly cloudy conditions support the market’s heavy weighting toward the 76–77°F bin, though microclimate variations near Puget Sound and any late-model shifts in ridge position could still nudge the official Sea-Tac maximum. Updated NWS briefings on September 8 will provide the final resolution data.
