Recent National Weather Service and model guidance point to overnight radiative cooling under mostly clear skies and light winds, supporting a Seattle low near 50–52°F on September 19. Clear conditions favor efficient heat loss after daytime highs in the upper 60s to low 70s, while light southerly flow limits mixing with warmer marine air. Historical September averages near 52.5°F provide context, yet recent stable high-pressure influence has kept lows in the low 50s. Minor forecast spreads arise from potential increases in low-level moisture or variable cloud cover that could raise the minimum by 1–2°F, explaining the tight clustering of market-implied probabilities across the 50–55°F range. Updated model runs ahead of the date will refine these thresholds.
