Prices occurring during pre-market or after-hours trading will not qualify. Prices will be used exactly as published by Pyth, without rounding. Fed Chair Kevin Warsh’s Jackson Hole remarks elevated September rate-hike odds above 60 percent in futures markets, tempering risk appetite despite the index trading near record levels above 7,800 earlier in August. Weak July payrolls and soft CPI readings had earlier supported a softer policy path, but robust economic data and energy volatility created uncertainty around the near-term rate trajectory and equity valuations.
