In the Tallahassee Challenger round of 16 on outdoor clay, fourth-seeded Daniil Glinka (ATP 177) faces American Darwin Blanch (ATP 246) in a rematch of Blanch's 6-4, 7-6(2) semifinal win over Glinka at the Knoxville Challenger on indoor hard last November. Glinka advanced with a straight-sets defeat of qualifier Stefan Dostanic yesterday, but recent retirements in Sarasota raise fitness concerns for the 25-year-old lefty. Blanch, an 18-year-old left-hander, grinded out a three-set upset over No. 243 Daniel Elahi Galan in his opener, gaining home crowd momentum. Trader consensus reflects a closely contested affair, hinging on clay adaptation, stylistic matchup edges, and Glinka's health.
