Pavel Kotov holds a trader-favored edge over Yi Zhou in their ATP Challenger Busan Open Round of 32 clash on hard courts, driven by his recent semifinal run at the Wuning Challenger—beating strong opponents like Fajing Sun and Harry Wendelken—and a 1-0 head-to-head win over Zhou on hard in Beijing 2024. The 27-year-old Russian (No. 262, career-high No. 50) leverages experience against the 21-year-old Chinese talent (No. 220), whose form has been mixed with early exits lately. No pre-match injury reports surfaced for either, but Kotov's momentum and stylistic matchup on a fast surface shaped pre-event consensus amid a closely contested ranking gap.
