Sri Lanka holds a 58% implied probability as series favorites in trader consensus for the postponed three-match ODI series originally slated for UAE in March, driven by their sixth-place ICC ranking ahead of Afghanistan's seventh and a dominant 10-5 head-to-head ODI record. Recent Sri Lanka form includes a competitive home series split against England in January, with strong batting from Kusal Mendis showcasing middle-order resilience on turning pitches similar to UAE conditions. Afghanistan's potent spin attack led by Rashid Khan and Mujeeb Ur Rahman poses upset potential, but lacks recent ODI momentum, with no bilateral wins noted in early 2026. No key injuries or squad changes reported in the past 30 days, keeping the matchup closely contested on spin-friendly Dubai tracks.
