No. 6 seed Mirra Andreeva entered as the trader favorite against defending champion Jelena Ostapenko in the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix Round of 32 on indoor clay, buoyed by her fresh Linz title win—her second WTA trophy of 2026—showcasing strong clay form with straight-set semifinal and final victories. Ostapenko, seeking to repeat her Stuttgart success amid mixed early-season results including a narrow Linz escape, faced a first-ever head-to-head against the 18-year-old Russian rising star known for resilient comebacks. No injury concerns disrupted either player's preparation, with Andreeva's momentum from recent high-level clay success and youth edge shaping pre-match implied probabilities around 70% in her favor per sportsbook lines, though Ostapenko's power baseline game posed upset potential on the fast indoor surface.
