Official forecasts from the National Weather Service and models place Houston's September 9 high in the low 90s, with a consensus near 91°F amid typical late-summer humidity, light easterly flow, and a 50% chance of afternoon thunderstorms that can limit peak heating. This aligns with the 1991–2020 climatological average high of 90.5°F and recent daily maxima of 91–95°F without strong high-pressure ridging or tropical moisture surges to push extremes. Market-implied odds concentrate on 90–91°F (49.5%) and 92–93°F (24.5%), reflecting trader assessment of these stable conditions and limited upside risk from sea-breeze or convective cooling, while lower bins capture minor forecast variance ahead of final observations.
