Market-implied odds favor a highest temperature of 30–31°C in Lucknow on September 24, reflecting expectations of typical late-monsoon conditions with substantial cloud cover and scattered rainfall moderating daytime maxima. The India Meteorological Department’s recent model guidance highlights a lingering monsoon trough across northern India, elevated humidity, and limited clear-sky periods that suppress heat buildup compared with pre-monsoon baselines. Short-range ensemble forecasts show modest day-to-day variability tied to the timing and intensity of any embedded low-pressure systems or western-disturbance influences. Traders appear to weigh these factors against historical September averages near 32°C, pricing in the current wetter pattern while noting that any rapid monsoon withdrawal or clearer skies could shift outcomes higher. Updated IMD and global model runs over the next 48 hours will likely drive further adjustments ahead of resolution.
