The Louis-Hébert riding features a tight contest among candidates from the main parties ahead of the October 5, 2026, Quebec general election, with the CAQ’s Marc-Antoine Bernier and the PQ’s Chloé Fauchon positioned as the leading contenders. The seat, held by the CAQ since 2018 under retiring incumbent Geneviève Guilbault, shows historical strength for that party on the new electoral map, yet provincial polling trends place the PQ ahead overall while the CAQ has narrowed the gap in recent surveys. Other candidates from the Liberals, Conservatives, and Québec solidaire trail further back. Nomination deadlines passed in mid-September with limited late developments specific to the riding, leaving the outcome sensitive to broader campaign momentum, turnout patterns, and any shifts in voter preferences over the final weeks.
