**Trader sentiment for Tokyo's lowest temperature on September 9, 2026, centers on 21°C (59.5% implied probability) and 22°C (41.5%), with 23°C also notable at 27.5% and 20°C at 16.5%.** These reflect real-time forecasts from sources like the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), showing an overnight low near 20–21°C amid persistent cloud cover, scattered showers, and thunderstorms. Key drivers include northerly to northeasterly winds advecting cooler maritime air, combined with high humidity (often 85–95%) and extensive cloud cover that limits nocturnal radiative cooling. Recent heavy rainfall earlier in the week (e.g., over 70 mm on September 7–8) has maintained moist, stable conditions, elevating minimum temperatures above typical clear-night values. Historical September baselines for Tokyo average around 21°C lows, but the current synoptic pattern—marked by frequent precipitation and reduced diurnal temperature range—supports the market's concentration around 21–22°C. Upcoming JMA updates and refined model runs will likely refine these probabilities as the night progresses, with any clearing skies potentially allowing a dip toward 20°C or lower.

The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=rjtt
If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source.
In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket.
To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C.
This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
