Russia's Supreme Court disqualified Yabloko from the September 2026 State Duma elections on August 10 following a lawsuit by the Rodina party, after the Central Election Commission had registered the party's list in late July. This removes Yabloko from the proportional representation ballot where the 5% threshold applies, consistent with the party's historical results below that level since 1999 and recent polling typically in the low-to-mid single digits. Sustained administrative restrictions, candidate disqualifications, and limited national visibility have reinforced expectations that the party will not secure seats through party-list voting. An appeal remains possible in principle, though the compressed timeline before voting and established judicial patterns limit realistic prospects for reversal. Single-mandate constituency candidates were not affected by the ruling but offer no path to clearing the national threshold.
