The Delta, BC mayoral race on October 17, 2026, remains closely contested between incumbent George Harvie of Achieving For Delta and challenger Dylan Kruger of One Delta, with trader pricing reflecting the narrow gap and limited separation from other declared candidates such as Melissa Granum. A December 2025 council split, when Harvie removed four members who later formed the One Delta slate, has defined the contest, shifting focus to local governance disputes, Metro Vancouver accountability reforms, infrastructure priorities including the Massey Tunnel, public safety, recreation facilities, and fiscal management. Recent developments through August 2026, including candidate launches, policy announcements on board oversight and spending, and a shared charter commitment by multiple mayoral hopefuls, have kept voter sentiment divided without clear momentum for either side. Nominations close September 11, after which formal campaigning may clarify turnout patterns or endorsements that could widen the current trader consensus.
