Recent National Weather Service and private model guidance points to a high near 67–70°F in San Francisco on September 18, driven by persistent onshore westerly flow and a shallow marine layer that limits daytime heating along the coast. This setup aligns with the historical average high of 70.8°F for the date and explains why the 70–71°F bin holds the highest market-implied probability at 43.5%, followed by 72–73°F at 32%. Slight model spread in afternoon clearing and wind speeds creates the secondary support for the low-70s outcome, while cooler scenarios remain possible if fog lingers longer than expected. The market will resolve on the official maximum recorded at the downtown or airport station once the calendar day ends.
