Forecast models from the National Weather Service and other sources indicate a high near 68–70°F for San Francisco on September 6, aligning closely with the 1991–2020 climatological average of 70.2°F. Onshore westerly flow and a persistent marine layer are expected to limit daytime heating, with typical stratus and fog reducing solar insolation and keeping maximum temperatures moderate. Recent NWS guidance shows partly to mostly sunny conditions after morning clouds, with light to moderate west winds around 10–20 mph. The near-even market split between the 68–69°F and 70–71°F bins reflects small differences across model runs and resolution criteria for the daily high at official observation sites, while historical data confirm that deviations beyond this narrow range are uncommon without strong offshore flow or anomalous ridging.
