Rising memory and storage component costs, driven by supply constraints and surging demand for advanced chips, represent the core driver behind trader focus on iPhone 18 Pro pricing. Apple implemented a $100 increase, bringing the starting price to $1,199 for the base model—modest compared to earlier analyst forecasts of $200–300 hikes—while applying similar adjustments across the lineup after CEO Tim Cook described the situation as unsustainable. This aligns with peer moves by Samsung and Google and follows Apple's earlier price adjustments on Macs and iPads. The September launch also introduced the higher-priced foldable iPhone Duo, widening portfolio gaps. Traders monitoring resolution should note that final U.S. pricing and storage-tier adjustments reflect Apple's margin protection strategy amid ongoing component inflation.

This market will resolve based on the pre-tax launch price in USD of the standard edition of the iPhone 18 Pro as listed on the official Apple Store website or Apple’s retail pricing in the United States on the first official day of its release.

If the iPhone 18 Pro is not released by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "No".
The primary resolution source for this market will be the official Apple Store (online or retail pricing), however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.
