**Democratic incumbent Kathy Castor holds a polling edge over Republican nominee Mike Beltran in Florida’s 14th Congressional District.** Redistricting signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis in May 2026 shifted the district entirely within Hillsborough County, making it more Republican-leaning based on 2024 presidential results (Trump +11). Despite this, a July St. Pete Polls survey showed Castor leading Beltran 46%–38% among likely voters. Beltran won the August 18 Republican primary with 46% against Kevin Steele’s 30%. Post-primary, Cook Political Report shifted its rating to Toss-up, while other forecasters rate it Lean Democratic or Toss-up. Castor’s long incumbency and name recognition continue to offset the map changes in current trader assessments ahead of the November 3 general election.
