Pete Crow-Armstrong’s dominant 2026 campaign with the Cubs has driven overwhelming trader consensus for the NL Hank Aaron Award. The 24-year-old center fielder leads the league in runs scored while posting a .281/.376/.570 slash line, 41 home runs, 98 RBI, 36 stolen bases, and .946 OPS through 148 games, alongside elite center-field defense and roughly 10 fWAR—the first NL player to reach that mark since Barry Bonds in 2004. His power-speed combination and late-season surge have positioned him as the clear NL MVP favorite over Shohei Ohtani, whose injury setbacks have widened the gap. With roughly three weeks remaining, only a dramatic finish from power hitters such as Kyle Schwarber or a healthy Ohtani surge could realistically alter the outcome, though current form and cumulative totals make such shifts unlikely.
