Shohei Ohtani holds a slim edge at 40% trader consensus for the 2026 NL Hank Aaron Award, fueled by his historic 2024 slash line (.310/.390/.646, 54 homers) and projected dominance as Dodgers DH amid a pitching return, yet the market stays razor-tight with Fernando Tatis Jr. (34.4%), Mookie Betts, Bryce Harper, and Ronald Acuña Jr. all near 33% due to the NL's stacked offensive talent pool. Tatis enters his prime with sustained power-speed upside post-Padres extension; Betts and Harper offer veteran consistency despite age-33 seasons; Acuña's 40-40 potential looms if fully recovered from 2024 ACL tear. Injury histories, workload concerns, and ZiPS projections showing clustered OPS leaders underscore the parity, embodying crowd wisdom on volatile hitter awards.
