Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu clinched the Norway Chess 2026 title through a dominant late surge, including classical victories over world champion Gukesh Dommaraju, Alireza Firouzja, and world number one Magnus Carlsen, capped by a must-win final-round result against Vincent Keymer. The Indian grandmaster finished with 18 points under the event’s scoring system, one clear of Wesley So, as his form and key results against elite opposition created an insurmountable lead. Trader consensus at near-certain levels reflects these confirmed outcomes from the May 25–June 5 event, though any unresolved tiebreak or scoring disputes could theoretically shift final placement in comparable formats.
