Compounding issues, outfielder Harrison Bader landed on the 10-day injured list yesterday with a hamstring strain, thinning outfield depth alongside other ailments like Luis Arraez's wrist contusion. Nationals (8-9) enjoy home-field edge and steadier scoring (6.40 runs/game), with mild weather (mid-70s, partly cloudy) unlikely to factor. Probable openers Logan Webb (1-2, 5.25 ERA) vs. Zack Littell tilt toward Giants pitching strength despite early inconsistencies, while bullpens remain tested by injuries on both sides.
