Philip Sekulic holds the edge as the higher-ranked player at ATP No. 354 over Justin Boulais (No. 428) in their ATP Challenger Wuning 2 first-round match on hard courts in China, leveraging a prior 6-3, 6-2 straight-sets win in the 2023 Granby Challenger on the same surface. Both arrived off recent defeats at last week's Wuning 1 Challenger to Fajing Sun—Sekulic in the second round (7-6, 6-3) and Boulais in the quarterfinals (6-1, 6-1)—highlighting solid but vulnerable hard-court form this year (Sekulic 13-7, Boulais 12-5). The contest, suspended mid-second set with Sekulic up 4-3 on serve, reflects trader consensus on his ranking and head-to-head advantage amid a closely contested matchup. Resumption timing and service holds will be pivotal.
