Dalton Eatherly, known online as Chud the Builder, faces felony charges including attempted first-degree murder stemming from a May 13, 2026, shooting outside the Montgomery County courthouse in Clarksville, Tennessee, during an altercation captured on livestream. Authorities allege he fired multiple shots at Joshua Fox after a confrontation, while Eatherly maintains he acted in self-defense under Tennessee's stand-your-ground provisions. The case, along with related misdemeanor charges from a separate Nashville incident, has advanced to grand jury review following his release on $1 million bond in August 2026. No trial date or verdict has been set as of mid-September, with the process still in pretrial stages amid ongoing court proceedings and no reported plea agreements or dismissals. Traders assign a 92% implied probability against conviction in the near term, reflecting the extended timeline typical of serious felony cases and the absence of any resolution.
