Recent polls ahead of Quebec’s October 5 election show the Parti Québécois leading with roughly 30 percent support, while the Parti Libéral du Québec and Coalition Avenir Québec remain closely matched near 23 percent for second place. New leadership under Charles Milliard for the PLQ and Christine Fréchette for the CAQ has coincided with gradual consolidation of federalist support, though the vote remains fragmented across regions and linguistic groups. Québec solidaire and the Parti Conservateur du Québec draw smaller but potentially decisive shares in specific ridings, contributing to uncertainty over final ordering. Trader prices reflect this tight contest for second, with the PLQ and QS holding the highest implied probabilities amid shifting second-choice preferences and undecided voters. Campaign developments such as official debates, platform releases, and turnout patterns in Montreal versus francophone ridings outside the region could widen gaps among contenders.
