Perplexity’s valuation trajectory reflects rapid revenue scaling to an estimated $450–750 million ARR by mid-2026, up several-fold year-over-year, alongside a post-money peak near $20–23 billion from its September 2025 and early-2026 rounds. Secondary-market pricing has since softened to an implied $17–20.5 billion as of September 2026, compressing multiples from over 100x to roughly 30–40x revenue. Key influences include sustained user growth via the Comet browser and enterprise features, strategic backing from Nvidia, SoftBank, and Bezos, a favorable Ninth Circuit ruling on its AI agent, and ongoing copyright litigation. With CEO Aravind Srinivas targeting an IPO in 2028 and no new primary rounds announced recently, trader sentiment hinges on whether accelerating usage and AI-sector multiples can support a higher mark before year-end resolution.
