Incumbent Republican Sen. Tom Cotton's commanding position in the Arkansas Senate race, reflected in trader consensus at 93.5% for a GOP victory, stems from his dominant March 3 primary win with 82% of the vote against minimal challengers, signaling strong party unity in the deep-red state where Democrats last won a Senate seat in 2008. A February GrayHouse poll of likely voters showed Cotton leading Democratic farmer Hallie Shoffner 58%-36%, bolstered by his fundraising edge—$9.8 million cash on hand versus her $579,000 as of late March—and endorsements from President Trump, Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and all Arkansas GOP House members. All forecasters rate it Safe Republican. Late-breaking scandals, Cotton health issues, or a massive national Democratic wave could shift odds ahead of the November 3 general election and October early voting.

A candidate shall be considered to represent a party in the event that he or she is the nominee of the party in question. Candidates other than the Democratic or Republican nominee (e.g., Greens, Libertarian, independent) may be added at a later date.
Candidates who run as independents will not be encompassed by the “Democrat” or “Republican” options regardless of any affiliation they may have with the party.
The resolution source for this market is the Associated Press, Fox News, and NBC. This market will resolve once all three sources call the race for the same candidate. If all three sources haven’t called the race in this state for the same candidate, this market will resolve based on the official certification.
