Incumbent Democrat Ro Khanna advanced from the June 2 top-two primary with over 62% of the vote against Republican Ritesh Tandon, setting up a general election matchup on November 3 in California's 17th congressional district. The Silicon Valley-area seat carries a D+21 partisan voting index and has delivered Democratic margins exceeding 60% in recent cycles, reinforced by independent ratings of Solid or Safe Democratic. Khanna's substantial fundraising lead and name recognition further anchor trader consensus around a Democratic hold. A Republican victory would require an unforeseen national wave, a late scandal affecting the incumbent, or a sharp shift in voter turnout patterns not indicated by current fundamentals.
