This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Istanbul Airport in degrees Celsius on 2 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=LTFM If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event which there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Latest official forecasts from Turkey's Meteorological Service (MGM) and international models project a daily maximum of 28–30°C for Istanbul on September 2 under mostly clear to partly cloudy skies, with moderate northeast (poyraz) winds of 10–20 km/h moderating coastal areas.** Global ensembles and regional guidance show consistent high pressure supporting diurnal heating, with afternoon peaks near 29°C at representative stations, though microclimates across the city (e.g., inland districts vs. Bosphorus shores) and exact wind timing introduce small spreads. Market-implied odds heavily favor 26°C (49.5%) and 27°C (41.5%), with 28°C at just 5.5%, reflecting trader emphasis on station-specific resolution criteria—likely an official observation point that often runs 1–3°C below broader model highs due to local exposure or measurement timing—plus the tight clustering of outcomes near the upper end of recent September normals. No major recent shifts (e.g., unexpected cooling or model divergence) have occurred in the past 48 hours; probabilities remain balanced because small variations in cloud cover, wind strength, or sea-surface influences could easily tip the recorded maximum between 26°C and 27°C. Upcoming hourly updates from MGM and refined model runs on resolution day will be the key near-term catalysts.
