Ongoing strong El Niño conditions are elevating baseline temperatures across Singapore, supporting trader consensus around 32–33°C for September 20 as the leading outcomes. Southwest monsoon patterns favor localized afternoon thundery showers that frequently cap daytime maxima near the long-term September average of 31.6°C, introducing uncertainty that keeps probabilities closely matched between those two thresholds while limiting odds for 34°C or higher. Recent first-half September readings exceeding 34°C on multiple days reflect the broader warming influence, yet official Meteorological Service Singapore guidance notes typical variability from cloud cover and precipitation. Updated model runs and the daily forecast from NEA will refine expectations ahead of resolution.
