Iran's 10-point peace plan—deemed a "workable basis" by Trump—demands US nonaggression guarantees, sanctions relief, recognition of Tehran's control over the Strait of Hormuz, termination of UN Security Council resolutions, and limits on nuclear activities, while the US insists on dismantling Iran's nuclear program and ending proxy threats. Recent US-Israeli strikes crippled Iran's defense infrastructure, emboldening Tehran's stance despite violations claims; the talks' outcome in April could shift diplomacy, escalation risks, or regional stability.
