The crowded field for Tocantins' two Senate seats on October 4 features more than a dozen registered candidates, with recent polling showing Eduardo Gomes (PL) in front while second place remains fragmented among figures such as Eli Borges (Republicanos), Nilton Santos (Novo), Alexandre Guimarães (MDB), and Paulo Mourão (PT). Party conventions and candidate homologations in recent weeks have clarified the slate without consolidating support behind any single challenger. Traders price the second-place outcome near even odds for several names because vote shares remain sensitive to turnout patterns, regional alliances, and last-minute endorsements across the state's diverse electorate. A stronger performance by one contender in upcoming surveys or shifts in coalition dynamics could produce clearer separation before election day.
