Fabiano Caruana tops trader consensus at 31.5% implied probability for the 2026 FIDE Candidates winner, buoyed by his world No. 2 rating above 2800, runner-up finish in the 2024 edition, and strong FIDE Circuit standing positioning him for automatic qualification via rating or performance. Hikaru Nakamura follows at 19.5%, leveraging unbeaten streaks in classical play and bullet chess dominance that translates to endgame edge. Rising phenoms Javokhir Sindarov (15.5%) and Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu (13.5%) gain from recent surges—Sindarov's Sharjah Masters victory and Pragg's Chess Olympiad gold with India—highlighting youth momentum amid open qualification paths like the Grand Swiss and World Cup. Anish Giri, Wei Yi, Andrey Esipenko, and Matthias Bluebaum trail on solid but less explosive form, with odds reflecting circuit points and rating cutoffs as key qualifiers.
