Recent National Weather Service and local model guidance for San Francisco on September 7 points to a high near 73–77°F under mostly sunny skies after morning clouds, with light northwest winds and minimal marine-layer influence. This aligns with trader emphasis on the 76–79°F bins, as the city’s typical September average high is 70°F but recent clear, warmer conditions across the Bay Area have supported modest above-normal readings. Key variables include the strength of onshore flow versus any brief offshore component that could allow greater warming, plus exact timing of cloud dissipation at the downtown observing site. Historical data show highs in the upper 70s occur several times per decade in early September, while sustained marine cooling keeps most days closer to 70°F. Updated model runs and afternoon observations will refine these narrow ranges ahead of market resolution.
