This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded at the Taipei Songshan Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 20 May '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from Wunderground, specifically the highest temperature recorded for all times on this day by the Forecast for the Taipei Songshan Airport Station once information is finalized, available here: https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/tw/taipei/RCSS. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the gear icon next to the search bar and switch the Temperature setting between °F and °C. Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is finalized for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.Current observational data and forecast models from the Central Weather Administration indicate Taipei's daytime high will reach exactly 35°C today, driven by stable subtropical high pressure, light southerly winds, and minimal cloud cover that allow peak solar heating without triggering convective cooling. This aligns with climatological norms for mid-May, when average highs hover near 30–32°C but recent ridging has elevated readings by 3–4°C. Trader consensus at 100% on 35°C reflects real-time integration of hourly station reports and ensemble guidance showing no pathway to 36°C or above. A sudden shift in steering flow or unforecasted thunderstorm development could still cap the peak lower, though such adjustments remain low-probability given the latest model consensus.
