This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 MLS Defender of the Year award. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLS rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLS season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026 ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Soccer; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Early in the 2026 MLS season with just 7-8 matches played per team, trader consensus prices a razor-tight Defender of the Year race, led by Robert Voloder at 44% implied probability after four starts and 360 minutes anchoring New York Red Bulls' backline with one assist and solid defensive contributions. Jackson Ragen trails closely at 40.2%, leveraging five-plus appearances for Seattle Sounders amid their stingy defense, while Andrés Reyes (37.9%) and a cluster of center backs like Dave Romney, Robin Jansson, and Jakob Glesnes hover near 35-36% on preseason hype, consistent minutes, and clean sheet potential from top table contenders. No standout in tackles, blocks, or interceptions has emerged, healthy rosters preserve parity, and wisdom-of-crowds pricing reflects small-sample volatility with full slates ahead.
