Recent polling in Tshwane shows the Democratic Alliance leading with around 43% support ahead of the November 4, 2026 municipal elections, positioning its candidate Cilliers Brink as the frontrunner for mayor, though still short of an outright majority. The ANC trails at roughly 32%, while ActionSA, EFF, and smaller parties including the Freedom Front Plus draw single-digit shares in a fragmented field. Coalition negotiations will likely determine the outcome, as no single party is positioned to govern alone, sustaining close implied probabilities across leading contenders. Voter registration drives and party announcements in recent months have reinforced this competitive dynamic, with potential post-election alliances or shifts in smaller party alignments serving as key variables that could separate the top probabilities before results are finalized.
