This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 27 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=lemd If NOAA data is unavailable or missing for the observation period, Weather Underground will be used as the secondary resolution source. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Forecast models point to a modest cooldown for Madrid on August 27, with overnight lows most likely settling between 16–18 °C.** Southwesterly flow, increased cloud cover, and a 20–30 % chance of light showers are expected to limit radiative cooling compared with clearer recent nights, while daytime highs drop into the low-to-mid 20s °C. This setup explains why market-implied odds concentrate tightly on 16 °C, 17 °C, and 18 °C. Ensemble guidance shows only modest spread in the minimum, reflecting typical short-range uncertainty in boundary-layer mixing and exact cloud timing rather than large-scale pattern shifts. Historical late-August averages near 18 °C provide context, but the current synoptic regime favors values slightly below that norm. Updated model runs and observational data over the next 48 hours will determine whether the low edges toward 15 °C or holds near 18 °C.
