Incumbent Republican French Hill secured his party's nomination for Arkansas's 2nd Congressional District after defeating primary challenger Chase McDowell, positioning him to defend the seat in the November 2026 general election. The central Arkansas district, which includes Little Rock and surrounding counties, carries a Republican tilt reflected in recent redistricting and French Hill's 2024 victory margin. Democrat Chris Jones, the 2022 gubernatorial nominee, won his primary but faces structural headwinds in a district rated solidly Republican by forecasters. Trader consensus at these levels aligns with the district's voting history, limited Democratic competitiveness in recent cycles, and the typical advantages of House incumbency absent major shifts in polling or campaign dynamics before Election Day.

A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
